SUPRAQUENCER "Dominant of Witchcraft" is a sweet change of pace in SurgeryHead's discography. I have to give credit to the track Oxytocin which was originally in there, and "Let's Play Ghost in the Graveyard" is a truly remarkable finisher that blends magnificently with the rest of the hommage brought to life by this surprising trilogy.
SurgeryHead never ceases to amaze me with their diversity, and this might be the most impactful testimony of love for the 80's horror movies i've ever seen. Favorite track: Let's Play Ghost In The Graveyard.

CobaltRogueX Good stuff. I listen to this and others when I write horror stories. Favorite track: The Town that Cancelled Halloween.

tr_πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Really cool, atmospheric yet engaging horror synth soundtrack. Interesting and alarming sounds. Some of these tracks brought back memories of the original X-Com and (of course) Carpenter movies like The Thing. So well done and very very very very very scary. Favorite track: Bang Bang.
FLESH MECHANIC

FLESH MECHANIC A polar opposite of Devil Sounds pt. I, Dominant of Witchcraft is more of a tribute to horror movie scores of the 70s/80s. Slower tempo, haunting synth loops and apocalyptic vibes are present on pretty much every song, making me think of various end-of-the-world movies of Lucio Fulci and others. This is no doubt a love letter to those types of movies and it's far from being some cheap attempt at recapturing their magic. Favorite track: Horror on a Damaged Filmstrip.

palehorse666 true horror and atmosphere permeate this album. only the brave have this on when walking down a dark forest path at night with no lights in sight. Favorite track: Survival Horror.

Headlighter One of the best things i've ever heard. "Bang Bang" sounds like F.E.A.R. OST. Favorite track: Til the Last Star Burns Out.

about

SurgeryHead Ireland

A dark and dirty electrolike mutation forged from rusting wires and discarded circuitry.
A malformed creature raised on a diet of 1980s horror movies, industrial EBM and slick french electro, SurgeryHead is music that you can mosh too as easily as it'll make you shake that which your putrid mother cursed you with. ... more
